TRENDS at the Individual Level

Classroom teachers, specialists, and special education teachers can use TRENDS to identify concerns related to individual students (e.g., Joanne has received seven referrals already this month) and view data patterns related to these concerns (e.g., Are Joseph’s tantrums more prevalent in the morning or afternoon?). Subsequently, staff may view and implement proactive intervention plans to address these problems.

After you implement your intervention plan, TRENDS tracking allows you to monitor a student's progress and results.

Example report: Is the intervention working?

This chart has been produced to answer the question, "Is the monthly frequency of Marco's insubordination decreasing since the implementation of the Goals Contract?" In response to this report, the teacher might want to commend Marco for his decreased insubordinations.

Example of an individual-level graph: Correlation between Average Daily Attendance and Referrals for Marco Delarosa.

Examples of other reports for individual-level analysis

  • Are Anthony’s outbursts more frequent during a particular
    class period?

  • What is the frequency of Commendations in each class
    period?

  • Has Felicia received any Commendations for positive behavior
    from any staff in the last week?
