Training in TRENDS

Will we need training?

We've designed TRENDS to be user friendly and intuitive. If you've ever browsed the Web, chances are good you will not need intensive training to use TRENDS. Because it is Web-based, TRENDS relies on familiar screen layouts, navigation bars, drop-down menus, and other techniques prevalent on the Web.


To get you started and for future reference, we've developed easy-to-use help tools that you access from the navigation bar on the left of TRENDS screens.

Video Tutorials

Video tutorials provide adminstrators, teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and other staff all the information needed to perform each function. These short step-by-step videos guide you through every aspect of TRENDS. They will help you get started, and you can return to them as often as need be to refresh your knowledge. Video tutorials will help you learn how to accomplish tasks like:

Printed materials

In addition to video tutorials, you can also access PDF documents that provide instruction and information.

The User Guide contains step-by-step instructions about the tasks you can perform, a glossary of terms, and lists of the various Definitions, Commendations, and Corrective Consequences used in TRENDS. There is also a handy Troubleshooting Guide. View the User Guide in TRENDS as needed, or download and print selected pages for future reference.

The Reproducibles section of Help contains a variety of documents that you may find useful. For instance, there is a reproducible referral form that matches the Definitions in TRENDS in the event that you require a paper copy.

What about support if we need it?

Once you begin using TRENDS, we are confident that you will find it easily navigable and intuitive to use. And the Help feature can readily address most issues that arise. If you require additional support, we can provide on-site or Web-based training at additional cost.
