Professional Experience In a 30-year career in education, Mickey Garrison has been a teacher, an administrator, and a consultant. At this time, she is the principal of an elementary school in Oregon. Under her leadership, her school achieved and has maintained the highest academic rating of "exemplary." Simultaneously, disciplinary referrals dropped substantially and remain inconsequential. Her students report that their school is truly "bully free." As a consultant, Mickey specializes in behavioral strategies designed to improve school climate, classroom management, and reaching difficult-to-teach students. She has coordinated numerous state-wide and school district change initiatives. She is currently developing training materials for behavioral coaches and working with school teams on developing professional learning communities.
