Jim Knight

Professional Experience

Jim Knight is a research associate at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning and president of the Instructional Coaching Group, which provides professional learning on instructional coaching for educational organizations.

Dr. Knight directs several research projects, including Pathways to Success, a comprehensive districtwide school reform project in the Topeka School District. He also leads the coaching institutes and annual Instructional Coaching Conference offered by the University of Kansas.

Dr. Knight's research on partnership learning has been adopted by more than 1,500 strategies trainers in North America, and he conducts workshops nationally on instructional coaching. He is the author of Instructional Coaching: A Partnership Approach to Improving Instruction.
